A Journey Through Pregnancy: How to Feel (Mostly) Good

Being pregnant is no easy task, ask any woman who has experienced it herself and her partner that has supported her throughout the evolving changes—simply put, it’s hard. By any measure, my pregnancy has been a relatively easy one but that doesn’t mean it’s been all sunshine and rainbows, hardly!

I’ve found a few things that have been integral to helping me find comfort and feeling as good as I possibly can during this pregnancy both physically and mentally. Well hello there! I’m crawling out of my first-trimester-induced exhaustion and feeling so full of love and gratitude for this community we’ve built. With so many changes that have taken place thus far in 2020, the one constant has been showing up and serving my students; no matter what. It’s been a source of deep fulfillment, even when the last thing I wanted to do was peel my buns off the couch. Teaching you gives me purpose. I feel a deep sense of responsibility to my students to show up and hold space. If you’re reading this, thank you for allowing me to be your teacher and for accepting me so completely.

Pregnancy is both incredible and wildly humbling. Through the last few weeks, I’ve been reminded of so many lessons that are far too easy to take for granted. If you care to indulge me, read on.
